Before you begin a parenting class or even pursuing reunification, you might need to address other issues first, such as:
-
Addictions: we don’t provide rehab, which addresses the effects substance use may have had on you, but can support you in dealing with the effects your substance use has had on others in your life, who you may need to work with cooperatively if you are to regain full parenting rights.
- How to parent infants with the effects of early exposure to substances.
- Repairing relationships enough to be trusted with visitation and eventual custody.
-
Stability: work with your caseworker, who is familiar with local resources, to secure employment, housing and food , so you can live with your children or have them visit you.
