CEU Approved

This workshop gives social workers techniques to effectively identify when marijuana may be a factor in the client’s coping strategies and limitations. Knowing the current peer-reviewed data regarding these trends can help clients and families make much better-informed decisions – and avoid dangerous outcomes as more and more states legalize the recreational use of marijuana. Interactions with prescribed medications can also be identified and potential hazards avoided. Health and social service providers should be alert for symptoms that may signal a need for help and intervention. This program is designed to provide participants with an enhanced knowledge of the current situation regarding recreational marijuana and it’s usage and potential manifestations, both physically and behaviorally.

This program has been approved for 3 hours of Social Work CEU hours by the State of Ohio Counselor Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Approved Provider number: RSX012201)
