Learning Objectives:

Child Welfare Professionals who attend this workshop will learn how to:
•  Advise, support, and inform parents of diverse populations, utilizing universally effective, trauma-informed, and research-based techniques and accurate advice that dispels common parenting myths and promotes healthy human growth and development.
•  Empower parents with practical advice. You will learn to use the Universal Blueprint® yourself, to assess the root cause of the parenting challenge and to support the parent in planning individualized responses, using the practical tools that are a part of this unique problem-solving, decision-making system.

  • 322-01-003: Understands the potential reasons children misbehave and the adult responses that support and reinforce misbehavior
  • 322-01-007: Understands the principles and uses of behavior management strategies, including modeling and shaping appropriate behavior, positive reinforcement, redirection, natural and logical consequences, time out, withholding reinforcement and extinction, and consistency in setting and reinforcing limits
