FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions

Will the live summit sessions be recorded?

We don't usually record private training sessions we offer for agencies who contract with our speakers nor live tuition-based training programs.

This summit, however, is a one-time, time-limited event. So we  put a lot of serious thought into IF and HOW we might handle recordings.

The speakers' collective goal in donating their training sessions was to be of service to as many parents as possible, so we did decide to record the sessions so those who could not attend the live sessions could still gain access to the valuable information presented for free.

We also decided to handle recordings in ways that protects the confidentiality and privacy of the live session attendees by:
  • Not requiring attendees use webcams and microphones
  • Tracking engagement through the chat
  • Only referring to attendees on a first-name-only basis.

THIS SUMMIT IS FREE TO ATTEND LIVE. Once a live session has occurred, the webinar registration link in the summit free access area is replaced by a link to the recording for that one session. That same free access area also has a link to upgrade your free pass, to get access to all the recordings, for 1 day, 1 month, or ALL the recordings (courses) and webinar resources FOREVER!

SO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE LIVE WEBINARS!

Can I get a participation/completion certificate?

Yes. We give participation certificates for our live sessions/programs and completion certificates for pre-recorded sessions. This means certificates are not granted simply for showing up to a live session or gaining access to a pre-recorded course.

Here are our certificate policies:
  • To receive a certificate for a live sessions: We ask participants to check in at the beginning of each session in the chat to request a certificate. Then the trainer actively involves participants throughout the live session using the chat other interactive tools to track and document engagement. Then participants check out at the end in the chat. This process insures we accurately determine and document participation while still protecting participants' privacy who choose to stay off-camera and on mute.
  • Certificates for pre-recorded courses: Each course has a quiz comprised of 5 questions per hour of training. The answers cannot be found in any slides, handouts, and cannot be easily guessed, so answering them correctly verifies the student watched the entire recording.

Can my agency register me or others they license?

Sure! We want to serve as many foster-, adoptive-, and kinship caregivers as possible! So there are several ways agencies can support licensed caregivers in receiving free, live, interactive trauma-informed training:

  1. Agencies can sign up for one account for the free live summit and give you their login, but each individual trainee must register for each webinar and log in as individuals to receive a certificate. We normally don't encourage sharing access to secure sites, but are making an exception for this summit.
  2. If agencies want to register multiple individual participants for a particular session or the entire summit, so they each have individual access, they can send us an email with a csv list (comma separated values) of names and email addresses.  Our Privacy policies are clear that we never share or sell our email lists and use them strictly for the purposes of providing private, secure access to training.
  3. Agencies can order bulk upgrades at a 10-70% discount, depending on which upgrade they choose and how many they register. Just click that link, then:
    1. Choose the UPGRADE level first.
    2. Then choose the quantity. (Note the link to see the quantity discount table.)
    3. After receiving the order confirmation email, forward that email to us, attaching a csv list (comma separated values) of names and emails of the foster-adoptive parents to enroll and we'll manually enroll them.
