Most of us in America are ill-equipped to manage our own emotions due to lack of priority of this as a skill in our education systems and society as a whole. Chronic stress and inability to manage difficult emotions has shown in research to have detrimental effects on our mental health, physical health, interpersonal relationships and more. By being empowered with the knowledge and importance of emotional regulation, relaxation and stress reduction techniques, participants will be able to feel less burdened by their overwhelming stress/emotions and model healthy coping skills to children.
