The scariest thing is that even some “evidence-based” parenting advice and programs teach tactics that are only quick fixes “that work” but are unhealthy, unhelpful, or even harmful long-term! That “evidence-based” label gives them credibility even though what they teach is not supported by current research. And therein lies the difference.
