This new generation of dads is adapting to shifting family structures, evolving cultural norms, and emerging technologies, requiring fresh perspectives and new skills. In this evidence-based workshop, we’ll explore the proven benefits of father involvement and presence while diving into the unique traits and challenges today’s fathers face. Whether you’re a father yourself or someone who supports them, this course offers practical tools for connection, self-awareness, and growth.

Certified Parents Toolshop Direct Service Provider (Coach and Parenting Educator)

Steve Makofka, has a BS in Education, a Master of Divinity degree, and is a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations, a Certified Family Life Coach at the Master Level through the Family Life Coaching Association, and is a Certified Parents Toolshop® Advisor (Coach) and Group Facilitator (Trainer) who serves on the Relationship Toolshop® Virtual Trainer Team and Speaker Bureau. He has 25 years’ experience as a pastor of youth and family ministries and almost 10 years’ experience as a psychoeducational group leader on a mental health inpatient unit, teaching life skills to adolescents and adults. His areas of expertise are in recovery, teens and extended family relationships, with an emphasis on training and supporting fathers. He currently teaches Father and Grandparenting classes for Kettering Health Network in the Dayton, Ohio area.
