Social Media’s Effects on Parents' and Children's Mental Health

  • Course
  • 10 Lessons

There seems to be little disagreement that statistics show a steep rise in parents and children's mental health issues. Is social media playing a significant role in that trend? Is there such a thing as emotional or social media “addictions? What do these look like and are people aware of the signs?

Social media has many positive benefits, too, so how can families reap the benefits of social media with fewer risks? This webinar explains the biological process of how frequent social media use and emotional addictions can affect mental health. You'll also get practical ideas for helping your family members turn off their devices and tune into life more often. (It doesn’t have to be all or nothing!)

This webinar explores the following issues:

  • Is there really a mental health crisis occurring? Is social media playing a significant role in it?
  • Are emotional or social media “addictions real? How do they occur and what are the signs?
  • How does stress show up as physical dis-ease and mental health issues? What can you do to prevent or heal them?
  • How can families reap the benefits of social media with fewer risks?
